September 1, 2010 Dear Boomerz member, follower, supporter: BoomerAZ has experienced several wonderful years of helping educate local businesses on the value of hiring Baby Boomers and we are proud of all of the successful connections that have been made, both professionally and personally. We have seen many wonderful and talented speakers share insight and educational tips with us. We have helped job seekers ‘re-career’ themselves. Through our social mixers and events, we have seen many long lasting friendships developed. So, it is with sadness that we are announcing the closure of the BoomerzAZ organization. Due to current economic conditions, we find that we have no alternatives at this time. We are working with several organizations to help our members find meaningful ways to volunteer, find appropriate causes, locate classes and networking events that will be of interest and hope to bring those to you shortly. These other organizations will provide an appropriate “transition” for our current BoomerzAZ community. On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Cindy Cooke for her creativity and efforts during her tenure at Boomerz. We can’t share enough how much we have appreciated your support. Sincerely.
