Boomerz provides many flexible volunteer opportunities for boomers with experience in virtually all fields and at all levels.  In keeping with our commitment to boomer needs, all Boomerz volunteer opportunities can be turned into small or large projects - either done as an individual or in a group - that allow snowbirds and others to contribute in meaningful ways while maintaining maximum flexibility.  We can describe potential opportunities; you can design a custom volunteer program that suits you and your life style.

Boomerz is all about giving back to the community. Whether you are looking for flexible opportunities at local events or to use your brain power, we have the opportunities for you.

We are not about stuffing envelopes, but in offering solid and constructive assistance to help small businesses, start-ups, non-profits and events become successful.

Do you have a mind that is not being used? Do you have special skills that could benefit a struggling organization? Are you interested in meeting new people and expanding business skills and contacts? Are you interested in learning new skills?

Our volunteer opportunities can include matching interested boomerz with organizations that need them. Maybe it is on a pro-bono basis, maybe it is for minimal pay or an ability to earn on future profits, maybe it is time to volunteer your time to learn a new skills and expertise for a career change.

• Re-careering - our largest program needs talented boomers with experience in the corporate, education, or health-care world to help with many different projects from cleaning lists to making appointments to designing or moderating programs. 

• Hospitality - attend some events, help register, make name-tags and greet attendees. 

• Development - looking for volunteers with sales experience who can help expand the Board, reach out for corporate and community support.  

• Marketing and Public Relations - To promote Boomerz programs and services to the larger community. Help with the Newsletter, writing articles, designing flyers, writing PR releases, etc. 

• Membership - Help with hospitality, registration, welcoming new members, planning Mixers or Behind the Scenes events. attend events, introduce people to one another, pass out evaluations, programs, etc. 

• Community Liaisons - Boomerz needs individuals who can attend professional and community organizations, look for opportunities for us to be involved and to expand membership.  Groups may include Corporate retirement organizations, Corporate volunteer programs, Marketing, Sales, Human Resource, or Financial professional associations, Chambers of Commerce, etc.

• Bloggers - looking for technical assistance and more boomer bloggers to get the word out about Boomer programs and services, establish a page in face book or keep our Linked-In pages current  

• Speakers Bureau - speak to community groups about Boomerz on occasion or frequently, coordinate the Speaker's Bureau. 

• Job Bank - Help market and update our Job Bank.  Get the word out to organizations that can use the tool to enhance their hiring decisions.
